Hey! Hi! Hola!
I’m Jon. I appreciate you taking the time to check out For People People and land on this page to learn a bit more about me and why I do what I do.
Full time HR pro.
Part time life and career coach.
Long time people person.
I went to Bentley University for my Bachelors and Suffolk University for my MBA. Most of my professional career has been a part of Human Resources and People teams. I have worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, TripAdvisor, Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals, and Amazon. I am currently an HR leader at Flatiron Health where I leverage my passion for improving healthcare to support the people and culture of Flatiron HC, a division that partners with cancer centers to deliver a better patient experience, strengthen practice health, and close the gap between care and research.
Coaching has naturally been part of my work in HR. In the Fall of 2023, I discovered the potential for impact life coaching could have on people. I enrolled in and have received coaching training from Lumia. While exploring how to build my practice and how I could differentiate myself from the thousands of other coaches, I created For People People in order to be the change I wanted to see in the world by specifically supporting my fellow HR folk. Additionally, in my career I have crossed paths with several business leaders who genuinely care about the people they manage and are entrusted to grow and develop. On both of those fronts, I seek to provide these people people with the support needed to show up as the best version of themselves.
While work and coaching takes up a good chunk of my time, how I spend my free time is extremely important to me. My partner Matt and I live in Boston, Massachusetts. We have the BEST dog in the entire world, Pico (like the salsa). I can’t swim and I never intend to learn how to swim. Spanish was my first language. I’m a Pisces. I’m a Hufflepuff. Survivor is the best show on television. Pineapple is a perfectly good and tasty option for a pizza topping.
